Why to use updated maps?

Keep track of changing roads Each day, about 2.7 million changes are made to the road network worldwide, so there is a good chance that a part of your journey will be affected. New roads are built, traffic rules are changed and new restrictions are set continuously, and there are plenty of other changes that may affect your planned route. Hence we recommend that you update your maps as frequently as possible, but at least once a year.
Reduce your fuel spendings Using up-to-date maps, you may reduce the average fuel consumption of your vehicle by up to 12 per cent. The scale of savings is especially spectacular on longer journeys. Compare the savings you can make on fuel during a whole year to the price of our maps, and join the community of several million users who update their maps regularly.
Drive more safely If the maps are outdated, your navigation system may frequently provide you with improper instructions. It is possible that the speed limit has been changed on some of the roads, some sections have been declared dangerous, or that the direction of traffic has been reversed in a one-way street. You should always follow the road signs, but the instructions given by the navigation system can be of great help in safe driving.
Avoid road stress Anyone can encounter disturbing mistakes in route planning that are often thought to be the fault of the navigation system. In fact, the most common reason for errors in route calculation is that the maps are outdated, so these mistakes can be avoided simply by updating them.
Have an up-to-date list of POIs It is not only the road network that changes, but the database of available places of interest as well. It includes a list of gas stations, ATMs, pharmacies, restaurants, accommodation and many other places that you may need while you are traveling. With an up-to-date POI database, you can find the places that are important to you and the best route to get there.
